The second generation of Audi A8 was introduced for the 2003 model year. The second generation of A8 is known as the D3 as it is built on the Volkswagen D3 platform. The A8 (D3) was a series of full size luxury cars offered in short or long (A8L) wheelbases. Engines options available included V6, V8, V10, and W12 configurations.
